Universal health coverage is more than a policy idea. It’s a promise that every person in Illinois can get the care they need without worrying about the cost. Imagine a state where no one skips a doctor’s visit because of money. Where preventive care, emergency services, specialist visits, hospital stays, and prescription drugs are all within reach. That’s the goal. But how do we get there? What would it take to make universal health coverage a reality in Illinois? And what w
